This blog comes from a mutual
love of both eating and cooking food shared by all three contributors,
Christinna, Kate and Thom. We’ll document our culinary experimentation and
cultural flirtations in ways that you can easily reproduce.
Aware of our own constraints –
time, money, ability, etc – we we’ll rate all the meals we prepare on cost, difficulty
and speediness, as well as on how pleasing it is to the eye, and on how much
washing up it generates. All of us are at least vaguely health conscious, so we
will also give a (very rough) outline of how healthy the food we’re making is. Though
bear in mind none of us are nutritionists and we may fall prey to various
dietary superstitions!
Having
over eleven years of student living experience between us, we want to show students
and others who are just starting out on their own culinary adventures that trying
new things in the kitchen needn’t be difficult, costly, stressful or overly
time-consuming.
